Hi everyone.  I had on-campus interviews for an internship with 3 of the big 4 last month.  One of the firms responded to me two days after the interview, but I haven't heard a word from the other two.  The two I have yet to hear back from I interviewed with on October 19th and 20th.  I sent thank you notes to all that I interviewed with the day of.

Last Tuesday I emailed them to follow-up, asking when they expected to make a decision and still have not gotten a response.

At this point I'm not expecting to be invited for an office interview, but I would like some closure.

How long does it usually take for the firms to get back to you regarding a decision for second-round interviews?  Am I being impatient or should I call them?

For my on-campus interviews, I interviewed on Thursday or Friday and heard back on Monday night.

Those who were rejected heard back a few days later. There may still be hope. It really depends on the circumstances.

That's my point.  Those that were rejected heard back in a timely manner.  Does the fact that I'm not going for the local office make a difference?

That means they referred you to the office, so that would be a good explanation for it taking longer, yes.

I don't think that's the reason.  Like I said, one of the firms got back to me in two days.  I believe second-rounds take place in November at the latest and I would expect to be given a decent amount of notice if I were to be invited.  That doesn't leave much time.

I'm going to call the recruiters tomorrow or Thursday to find out what's going on.
