Hi ALL

I m a little confused with the process for enrolling, it looks so simple but
every step has some queries. I would be grateful if anyone on this forum
could help me.

I have done my B.com from INDIA and as Delaware looks favorable for
associate degree , i m planning to do it from there.

I have sent my transcripts to FACS. Awaiting the evaluation.....my query is
as below:
1) I have to complete federal tax course , but m not getting through the link
of RVCC, which people had recommended it online. Can anyone who have
done this course from RVCC post the link. Moreover, is it a self paced
course, i.e can i start it whenever i enroll or wait for spring semester? Any
idea.

2) UNC is expensive for out state students is cost 2562 $, is there a way to
enroll there which is cheap.

3) THe other institute i found favorable is LSU, which cost around $400/- ,
has anyone done it from here. Is is accepted by Delaware board.

4) Lastly, what is the process, I m confused here, should i enroll and pay
application fees to Nasba once i m at the stage of receiving my evaluation
from FACS or do i have to wait to complete my federal tax course.
Basically, can i not enroll and simultaneously do this course.....is it a pre
requisite to sit for CPA exam, or is this course a requirement for License.
Dose anyone recently applied to delaware.

Thanks

Delaware would have worked for you in the past, if you took a U.S. Tax
course, but that state has changed its rules, so that now the only way that it
would work for you is if pass all four parts of the exam by May 2012 and if
you already have 4 years of North American accounting work experience
under a U.S. CPA. As of July 2012, you need to either have your designation
from DE already (by passing the exam and showing work experience) or you
will need to have 5 years of university.
Do you have that kind of work experience?

If not and you still want to become a U.S. CPA, you will need to get a total of
120 semester hour credits or the equivalent of a 4 year degree for a state
other than DE. I have access to some inexpensive online courses that would
get you started, let me know if you would like more information on that.
You would most likely need to take 10 extra courses. you can contact me
by email if you would like further information, thanks, L.A.
