I am a resident of Nebraska and am planning on sitting for all four sections of the CPA Exam in April and May of this year. I have already met the 150-hour education requirement. I am currently in the process of meeting the experience requirement by working for the Nebraska Department of Revenue as an Auditor (3 years required). However, I have always planned to move to the Portland area at some point and it may happen this summer or fall. This means that I would not have finished my experience here in Nebraska (although I would have at least one year completed and my direct supervisor is a CPA) so I would not be able to get my CPA license before I move.
I would like to find out if this experience would be able to meet the experience requirement for the CPA Certificate and PA License? I am sure I would be able to get my supervisor to sign off on this. Also, if I know for sure that I will be moving would you suggest that I sit for the Oregon exam here (I believe I can do that)? Or does it matter where and for what state I passed the exam? Finally, can you explain to me the differences between the CPA Certificate and the PA License? We don't have that difference here in Nebraska so I am unfamiliar with it.
