Hey All,

I'm a first year audit associate, with good reviews (2's &3's). I was curious as to whether it was possible of negotiating my year end raise. I'm currently making 56K, and I've heard raises are only 3-5%. I spoke to a friend that got offers as a 2nd year at 2 other firms (1 big 4, 1 top 10) at aprox 65K. I would like to get to a comparable salary for my 2nd year. My gut tells me I would need another offer from a competitor, but I was just curious if anyone has had any experience in negotiating a higher salary once employed.
