I took BEC on 4/16 and passed, which was my second attempt.  I learned for BEC you must pay attention to the details and practice the writing.  Learn to write an essay on anything, your argument does not have to be correct, it just needs to be well stated.

-Don't overlook project management fundamentals.  Things like, the role of a project manager and a project sponsor.

-Don't overlook ERM and COSO.  The role of risk officer vs. CFO.  The role of board of directors. Know what creates a conflict of interest

-Bonds & interest rates

-Global economy, what helps or hurts foreign producers

-Variable Costing vs. Absorption

-Ratio Analysis (working capital, ROI, ROA)

-COST ACCOUNTING VARIANCES (overhead, labor, rate, et)

There's a lot of small areas that can be easily overlooked but if heavily tested will hurt your score if you don't know them.

Thank you both bella and jazzchic!  From the scale, I am always strong @ corporate governance, comparable @ economic and operations management, but WEAKER @ IT, sometimes, they ask the question from no where, few times I got at least 2 IT written communication.  WC is already my weakenss and especially with IT topic, there is no way I can pass.  My REG was expired two years ago, I re-take it last month and passed with 77.  I am so happy, but when I realized that I still have BEC, I am falling from the heaven to the hell.  I have took it so many times and the questions are getting harder and harder to understand each time... anyway, I might just switch to Audit first..

meomeo,
When I got 74 on BEC, the AICPA said IT was my weakness. Yes, they make it harder now. It used to be like plain definitions only, but now they want you to think like a chief information officer (lol). Have you tried cpareviewforfree.com? Their questions look more difficult to me.
