I have sought advice from my boss (a CPA) and contacted
the NC CPA Board, but apparently the NC Board has a
policy not to discuss course requirements or look at
transcripts until I'm ready to sit for the exam.
I got a business undergrad, and my MBA, and by my
calculation I have 18 hours towards the 30 hour
requirement:
Principles of (6hrs)
Business Law (3)
Financial and Managerial Accounting (each 3 hrs at
Masters level worth 1.5x, for a total of 9hrs)
I have determined I should take corporate tax and
individual tax, so that leaves two more courses I should
take, and then I'll self-study anything else. I'm
thinking I need an audit course, and maybe gov't/non-
profit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
