I have almost 5 years experience as a tax preparer for high net worth individuals. I would someday like to have my own tax practice.
Right now I am temping at a private firm as a tax consultant for the October 15 deadline. I love the company so far, but it is not guaranteed for permanent. And it is mostly all individuals. It is a great place though for a career.
I have a CPA firm that I interviewed with that is very interested. I can gain some corporate/partnership experience here which is what I am lacking.
Would you guys recommend working in public for more exposure and experience if I woudl one day want to start a tax practice?
And do temp positions normally lead to full time roles?
I'm kind of in a bind because I don't know if I should stay here or leave if an offer comes.
Thanks guys!
