Rick here...

Trying to get out of corporate accounting and into
public.

I began my accounting career as a temporary A/P clerk in
2010, hired, and recently promoted to Staff Accountant
this year. I do reconciliations, journal entries, etc in
this role along with my knowledge of A/P.

I also just passed all four parts of the CPA exam.

What can I do to get into public or am I better off going
for a senior accounting role in corporate? I do have good
job security right now as they are expanding our ACTG
department and obviously they like me, but the other
piece is I want to move out of the suburbs and into the
city.
