4 years ago I was arrested for a misdemeanor shoplifting crime, I did Pre-Trial Intervention and it was expunged. It was an extremely stupid mistake that I regret almost every day.
I was in the process of starting my application when I realized I had to disclose this, even though it was expunged. I know they I need to submit documentation but I am not even sure how to get that since the records were expunged.
Does anyone know of anything like this where they allowed them to still sit for the CPA and become licensed?
I am terrified I am going to submit my application, with the $900, then get rejected or worse they are going to allow me to sit, I pass all the tests and the board rejects me for questionable moral character.
If anyone has any experience with anything like this, please help! I have been working so hard for this and it literally is killing me that my poor judgement is going to derail my hopes of being a CPA.
