I am planning to do CPA. My future aim is to do CGA from Canada. Somebody mentioned to me that now if you do CPA from US you do not get directly to PACE level of CGA.

If anybody is doing CGA after CPA or planning to do, please advise me if you have any idea about it. Contacting CGA office is of no help. They said they would tell when we apply.

Thanks a lot in advance

Why doing CPA first? Why not do CGA first then take the reciprocate exam to be a CPA?

Another thing is, why even bother with CGA at all, once you have CPA.

If you complete CGA first, there is no credit of it in doing CPA. You still have to complete 4 papers of CPA. I completed all four papers (BEC REG AUD FARE) last week. CGA is now asking for a letter of good standing to give further credit.

Does somebody have any idea about it. And to the question why not canadian CA, I request him to throw some light how to do canadian CA and the difficulty level, etc.

Thanks
