I am looking for some books that I can read to gain a better understanding of accounting. In my current job, I am a analyst in Supply chain, and I am severly lacking in my knowledge of accrual accounting. It is to the point where I feel that i would have a much better understanding of the overall business process if I could understand the accounting side of these transactions. I need to learn stuff such as impacts of account on the Balance sheet to income statement, how an accrual hits the B/S and when it is released it moves to the I/S. Any good recomendations for me? Thank you for your help.
