I have paid $300+ to NY accounting board and then received the letter stating that my education has been approved. Now, I'd like to apply for NTS. Usually, in how many days will I receive it? I am a first time taker.

You should go to the website of your State Board and log into your account, select test sections, wait till your board sends your ATT to NASBA, wait till NASBA issues a Payment Coupon, pay it, wait for NTS.
I don't know for other State Boards, but I got my NTS 3 days after selecting exam sections. If you send your payments by mail, that may take longer.

I think NASBA emails you a NTS with 5 business days of payment. If you choose the mailing option, that may take a few more days.
