TOUGH! I have to say that! 50/50 even less. Praying Now.
I use BECKER to prepare the REG, and have to say at least
10% of Questions are way out of the materials. If I have
to take it again, I may switch to Wiley.
Anyway, just to share some general ideas.
1) The 1 MCQ is kind of easy. The questions focus mainly
on
concepts.
2) 2nd & 3rd MCQs just much more difficult. Too many
calculations, and not easy ones. At least 3 QS never
covered in BECKER.
4) Simulation 1 is no situation at all, but each tab has
it own situation. And the facts patten is pages long. The communication is not bad. But the research has a page
long material again and do not know what the question is.
5) Simulation 2 is HUGE HUGE HUGE amounts of
calculations, I then realized how bad the build-in
calculator being designed. I did not finish the numbers
because I have to at least leave some time for
communciation. I was so surprised on the communications.
The questions is way off the board of REG, (I think it is
a FAR question.) I run out of time at the end and did not
finish the last simulation.
Just praying. Good luck to all of us!

You did your best. Nobody can ask more of you. If it doesn't work, try try again.
From the sound of it, just about everyone has a similar experience. Sounds like the curve will be large. Just remember, all you have to do is score in the top 45% of candidates that take it.
I remember in college, the average in my upper level accounting classes was about 70-75. These are the people you are competing against.
My date with Reg is Thursday. I'll post my experience. If I was a betting person, I'd say my experience will sound similar to yours and I've been studying FULL TIME for nearly 2 months!

Dont feel alone. I studied full time for 2 months like byris, and felt great on the entire exam except one simulation that totally, and I mean totally kicked my butt. I wrote a bunch of nonsense. I felt good on most of the MCQ, except maybe 5-8? of the total of 90 questions or whatever it is.

I wonder if AICPA is putting out a lot of new, tough sims this testing period on all parts. I had a similar experience with FAR, which I took on July 2 and studied 2 whole months for, and if you check out the FAR board, it sounds like many other people had a similar experience. Given that the scores are not curved, I hope this does not mean an exceptionally large percentage of us will be failing this testing period. :-(
