They say that tax comprises approx 2/3 of the exam.  But then Becker only has a few questions for some sections of individual taxation.  And on average, law questions seem to outnumber tax questions.  Is the fact that Becker has fewer questions for tax misleading?

I gave my exam on 28th July- (result awaited) and I think Becker did a decent job with the tax Qs and overall on REG . But if you still need extra practice you can supplement it with any other CPA Review book such as Wiley or Gleim.

Looking at your scores I think you will do just more than fine:-)

I am very concerned about this also.  Over the last few days, I watched lectures R1 and R2 and did the passmaster questions.  Before doing the questions, I was expecting to do very poorly because I certainly don't have all of the millions of "thresholds" and "robinhood rules" and whatnot memorized.  I did ok on them, but I'm very concerned that there is such a small number of practice questions to wrk with.  So here are my questions to somebody who is knowledgable about the REG exam and used Becker:

1) Why are there so few questions about individual tax, as compared to any other lectures in any section of the CPA exam?
2) Gearty spent a lot of time on topics such as IRAs, tax credits and the AMT tax and in passmaster there were 0 questions on IRAs, 2 questions on credits, and 2 on the AMT tax.  Are these newly tested topics or something?  I feel like I have no idea what is actually tested and what isn't

I know this is an old post, but I also have the same concern. Should I bother looking for additional supplemental questions from GLEIM or Wiley or is Becker Passmaster enough ? There wasn't enough practice AMT, credit or IRA questions that made me feel comfortable.

Anyone that solely used Becker 2009/2010 want to share their experience ?

Becker is good enough to pass.  I saw nothing on the exam that surprised me after taking the exam on the 13th of this month.
