Are we supposed to remember all the specific tax numbers and threshold amounts?  For example, the depreciation per mile is 55 cents for 2009 or self-employment tax is only up to $106,800 for 2009.  Just curious since there are quite a lot of numbers and threshold amounts....

Do not really spend any time to recite those thrshold amounts. I have taken reg twice, and merely found they would test your memory on those threshold. For some thresholds, such as 13,000 personal exemption, you will definately remember it since there are a lot of questions mentioned a lot of times.

12,000 annual exclusion for gift in 2008, 13,000 for 2009

3500 personal exemption for each qualified person...
