Mrs.irma by herself maintain her home in which she and her unmarried son reside, her son, however, does not qualify as her dependent. Mrs.Irma husband died in 2003.what is Mrs.filing status for 2004??

single?

qualifying widow with dependent child?

head of household??

I'm going to assume the son is over 18 and doesn't qualify as a child.

The only filing status available to Mrs. Irma in 2004 is single because she has no dependents.
