First off, let me clarify that I am not an accounting major
so I need to learn everything from scratch. I bought the
Becker and Wiley Exam Review series but it seems that the
textbooks contained in them only provide a skeleton and can
only be used as study guides. So I need some good textbooks
to give me all the background info necessary. Its easy to
find textbooks on FAR and AUD. But I can't find good
textbooks(at least on Amazon) on BEC and REG.

I could tell you this, you will not find anything on BEC. BEC as an exam is a combination of bunch of courses such Econ 101, Fin Mgmt 101 and adv fin mgt.

As for REG this is a tough one because there isn't much textbooks I believe there's only one that most schools use. Beside on this section the IRS.gov would probably be a good source of info for you on certain topics.

Now, I'm curious how are you studying to take the CPA if you didn't study accounting?
