I take my exam on 10/5/09. I am sort of excited as this is my first exam. So goo luck to everyone that is starting/continuing testing in this window. :)

Goood luck man... I will be planning to take my exam middle/end of october.. Does anyone know how long before do you have to sign up for the exam.. ???

October 6 here.
As for how far in advance to schedule the exam, I think it depends on how busy the Prometric centers are in your location around your desired date. To give you an idea, I took AUD, FAR and REG on 5/1, 7/2, and 8/5, respectively, and signed up for them on 4/22, 5/29, and 7/20, respectively. I signed up for BEC on 8/7. I am in New York City - Manhattan.

I am in SoCal and was able to sign up Friday to take the test the following Monday. Generally you can sign up for the next day here and even then have numerous options with regard to time. I imagine they aren't all that accomodating though.
