I'm using Becker and struggling with B5 especially on the
Manufacturing Overhead Variance. I have memorized the
Tabular format and all the formulas, but I found the
calculation and formulas are different from the homework
answer...???

Also, do I need to study the materials on B5-Appendix I and
II?

MOH variance is definitely a beast. Don't get yourself too wrapped up in it. If you'll notice in Becker that there are only a handful of questions on it. (Gleim CD there aren't many as well.) The likelihood of getting a lot of MOH questions is small. You might get 1 or 2 on the exam (might).

Read over the appendi a couple of times to become familiar. Questions you'll notice are general questions w/o a lot of detail.

I would suggest doing the problems on variances...learning how to solve them was better than reading about it (at least for me). I think I have 3 questions overall...
