I know same may not agree with my strategy, but I think it may have paid off:
I had BEC this morning at 11 am. After work last night, I studied from 7 pm to 1 am hammering out multiple choice questions (about 500 of them) and reviewing any concepts with which I was uncomfortable.
I think this helped tremendously. It kept every concept fresh in my mind, and I think it did wonders for my confidence. In short, I think the night before your test should be spent on things you think you can improve in a few short hours. I wouldn't spend any time on concepts that you know you're just not going to get (i.e. you'd need a few days to really get the concept).
