Ok, so this will be my 5th time taking FAR (71,72,72,73).  I took it every window last year, and every time was a chance to close this horrific nightmare they call the CPA exam down for good.  Alas, it wasn't in the stars in 08 so here i am and have to retake REG, but that's another thread.

So, i'm sitting this saturday and i've been studying every day since i got my last score in mid November.  I'd like to think i'm well prepared but what friendly advice would you give for my last day and a half studying?  I'm thinking of reading mostly to flood my brain with actual concrete concepts but i'm wondering if i'm missing out on brushing up on my mcq or sims.  Any suggestions?

As a side note, somebody must be telling me something.  I originally had this exam scheduled for monday, but i go to the testing site and there i find out the computer system crashed so i have to call prometric to reschedule, which was actually a pain.  I was on hold for 20 minutes and the process of verifying, rescheduling, etc. took another 15.  Sheesh!!

akuhn, best look to you on Saturday. If i were you i'll spend most of my time doing mcq since they count for 70%. Besides, by doing mcq you'll solidify your concepts or find areas that needs more of your attention. At least last time I took FAR simulations are not a big deal as long as you have a strong understanding of the concepts.

Akuhn: I took FAR twice and I
scored <Aug08:70 and Nov08:80>. Your score shows that you know the material so this will be my advice:
Make sure that you spend about 50-60 mins on the 1st testlet (don't rush thr) so that you might get a difficult 2nd testlet. If you get 2nd testlet that is difficult most of the questions are conceptual but difficult and you need few correct ans to prove that you are proficient in a particular area.

Last minute review should be on Govt/NFP:

Now for the sims: Prepare your mind that you will leave out the research tabs - they waste valuable time: if you can answer it in less than 5mins then go for it.
Finally, the sims for any testing window can any topic that you least expected. I have always budgted my time to spend 50-55 mins on the 2 sims ( of course excluding reaerch table).

Government is exactly 20% of the exam. So know it and good luck!

Thanks, for the advice.  I'm a little nervous, but i think my four times taking it before have me feelin semi-confident.  :)  Although, you never know with this thing.  Did a progress test for chapters 1-5 and going to do another one for 6-9 when i'm done reviewing the text for that.  Then i'm planning on doing a final to see how i do last minute.

And espy, you are right.  I'm going to pay close attention to gov-nfp.  That has always been a bugger for me.
