I am happy of my progress with mcq's :) However the time I am taking for calculations questions is way too long. 5 minutes sometimes depending on the subject :(  that is really bad!!  I keep practicing over and over with the supplemental questions, jumping subjects and lessons so I do not get use to the answers. Still over 3 minutes :(

For those of you who took FAR already. Does the real exam has so many calc to do within the 90 questions?  I should allocate 1.40 min per questions. I am taking double that time!!

Please give me a hint of hope!!

Thanks,

For me - on the actual test they definately did not take that long - there seemed to be less calculations - but if you are struggling on the test and there is a really long calculation - just leave it for last... and skip it if you are going over your time.

If you are taking a long time because of calculations, don't worry about it at all, the calculations on the test are MUCH easier.  If you are taking a long time because you don't remember the concepts or what to do, that is an issue you should worry about.

When you are going through the practice MCQs, if you notice 1 problem is excessively longer or harder then the others, just skip it.

Thanks for your comments, that gives me some peace of mind.

nic4747, I know what you mean, I know the subject and I know how to solve the calc. my problem is (I think) that I want to make sure everything is correct and I have catched myself re-reading way too carefully/slowly many times looking for "tricky" word that sometimes is just unecessary. I am always expecting a trick. Even when I finalized my calc. I come back to "check" THEN I chose the answer.

I will keep practicing to improve my speed and cover the material the best I can.

Do you read the end of the question first to find what they are asking and then go back to the beginning and read the entire question?

I find this saves time, because I know what information I need to get where I am heading.
