Hi all,
I have got my yeager study material for FARS and I am confused as to what strategy other students ar eapplying???Are they doing all qns in text book as wel provided by software??Or are they just doing whats told in Hand out???
This is my 1st week and I have not even completed the whole dvd listening to it...as i solve qns from Hand out-dvd and book???
You will probably get several different responses and all will be excellent I am sure.
I read my Wiley chapter slowly trying to learn the concepts, if I get hung up I research it until I know it or I am wasting too much time. Then I look at the chapter very quickly again(10 min).
I then do about 30 MC and then go over them one by one even if I get them correct. That is when the material sinks in. For a while I didn't recognize that its okay not to totally grasp the knowledge prior to answering questions. The MC will help teach you tremendously. Also you will learn the style of what to REALLY pay attention to in the MC or not. It's a feel thing. After all that I do a simulation. This helps you learn great too. The more you do the easier them seem. i can nail out a great communications tab now in 5-10 min. even if I am totally full of BS ;)
From there I like to do two more chapters the same way. Then I will take a day off and do a bit of reviewing. This is when you will get frustrated again for forgetting stuff. For instance last night I was bored of studying new stuff so I went back and studied LT construction contract(they scared me initially). After 20 minutes of study I now remember the journal entries very well and the concepts b/w %of completion and completed contract method. Today I am going to do some Factoring review b/c I do not remember the entries that well.
Since I do not have the DVD's listen to a few responses here. Also you can read others questions here and the responses and learn from that. A lot of times I will read a question here and it will be great review for me.
