I work full time, and i study at least six hours a day after work(wake up at 6am-work til 3pm, and study 4-10pm). While at work, i use the flashcards to keep the ideas fresh. I also attend the live lectures on the weekends.
Sometimes while doing the HW questions I'll make silly mistakes, like applying half the years interest..etc. I think i might be making lil mistakes like that because i'm over studying and really tired. Is there such a thing as over studying? I want to take the FAR exam by the end of Aug, and really do well, but am i sabotaging myself by the way i'm studying now?

Definitely you have good schedule. I did the same mistake and one of the reasons was that I was not reading the question with attention at first. But as you study you will do better. The only way you can say if you are progressing or not is to take progress tests and see how you do. What is your HW average?

Bigdreams - I would say you are definitely on track. 68-70% for the first try is impressive. I am sure when you solve the same questions again, you'll get atleast 80-85% of them correct. Silly mistakes tend to happen when you are studying, specially since you know that it is not a 'real' exam. Obviously, when you are attentive enough and try to solve those questions, you'll fare better. As Tajik4CPA also mentioned, keep solving questions from all chapters that you already covered by taking the progress tests. If you are using Becker, you'll see this option in the HW section. Apart from this, there is also Simulated exam which throws in questions from random topics. It covers 100 questions out of the HW questions. If you want more practice, try to use some of the free resources such as cpareviewforfree.com, Wiley test bank questions etc. As you do more number of questions, you'll feel better prepared for this exam. I personally don't think over studying harms anyone. Its always better to feel scared and think that you got lots to study, rather than feeling over-confident and not studying enough by losing focus. Hope you do well. Best of luck for your journey !
