I have benefited from this group so much and want to share my experience for FAR passed with a score of 87

1. MCQ easy

2. MCQ easy, but spent too much time on one or two questions, poor time management

3. MCQ easy but same situation as second MCQ

4. Sim, calculation easy, completed, communication completed, research blank

5. Sim, calculation easy completed, communication blank, research blank, ran out of time

FAR is not difficult, but do needs lots of time to prepare, lots of  time. I am not against buying expensive prep program at all, but for me, Wiley books in public library, free cpa internet questions, group like this are enough. I do have a master degree in accounting but that was 14 years ago.

I wish the best for  all of you.

FAR Aug 2010 pass 87

leaving a WC blank and still getting a 87..... that is impressive.  You either nailed the MC or FAR is scaled a lot (my assumption based on my results)

I wish someone would unravel this mystery.

Anyways congrats!

Really! thats news to me.  I've heard of the exam having "test" questions on MC and even some Sims, but I figured the WC was graded because even if you don't know it they can still check your writing skills

I also passed FAR recently with a score in the 80s.  During my exam, I felt that the questions in all three testlets were about the same difficulty...barely any complex calculations.  Also, I bombed both the SIMS, only fully completing the WC parts in each.  So it is possible to do well relying mainly on the MCs!
