Hi All:

I sat for FAR in the last testing window and got a 74.  I am beginning to start studying again as my test is scheduled for November 29th.  Looking at my score breakdown, I see that my performance in "Concepts" which accounts for 17-23% of the total score was below passing candidates performance.  My score was 45, where passing candidates score was 72.  I have been trying to figure out what topics exactly fall under "Concepts".  Can anyone please help?  Thanks.

Most likely all topics have concepts; any question u had and you didnt hase to do a calculation its a concept question. i.g if the f/s or book income is greater than the income at the IRS form result from bad debt written off it result

deffered tax assets or liability ?

You will pass this time.

Memorize all of the solutions of Written Communications from Becker Software. They are the Concepts. at lease go thru All of them before the test this time.

Some are using mcqs as disguise. Like concepts of Residual Value Guaranteed by Lessees; Equity Method, Cost Method for Investment in Securities; or a Non-monetary exchange that has "Commercial Substance" or "Lack Commerical Substance"; Or GASB#34 Reporting ; Differences between net income and comprehensive income, Interest Capitalization, Treatment of Sales-Leasebacks (Substantially all right retained vs Minor vs middle one ); straight-line method on operating leases, consolidation, Foreign Currency transactions, etc.
