I'm taking the ethics test for California and I called a number and ordered over the phone (1-800-922-5272).  Got the number from the AICPA when I called to ask about the ethics exam.

You can also go to "California CPA Education Foundation."

Cost me about $126.00 in total.  Shipping and tax included.

Currently the CA ethics exam beat me up.  First try, got 76% - OUCH.

I ordered my ethics exam last Friday (9/19) got it on Tuesday (09/23) ad finished it on Thursday (9/25). I figured the hard part is out of the way no need taking a long time with a open book test.

My first try I got a 88%, then I went back and changed 3-4 answers and left everything else the same. End result 91%!!!!!!

The questions follow the flow of the book (i ordered the text version) so if you don't want to read or listen to the cd just go through the questions one by one. for instance the first question you'll be albe to find the answer in the first couple of pages in the first chapter, and so on and so forth.

Good Luck all,

I took the Ethics exam today.  Passed with a 97.  The advice given on this web site is good.  Print out the exam and work through the questions while you're watching the course.  I thought there was a lot of material so it does take time.  I had a few questions which were either out of order or weren't covered (I thought) so I used the Tip Sheet and looked at a few AICPA web sites to try to figure out the answers.  They ought to give you the ones you missed after you pass the exam so you can see what you missed but they don't.  My state CPA society had a special price for it so you may want to check with your state society, too.

Excellent advice on this site. I also printed out the questions and just did them as I watched the CD. You do have to really search for some of the answers - but you can use the index to find those answers.

I scored a 99 on my first try. Whoo Hoo!!

I passed the WA state ethics exam today with a 93.

As mentioned earlier it works best to print out the exam and search for answers in the EthicsStudyGuide PDF file, which you can find by exploring the CD. Some of the questions are tricky, but generally it isn't too hard to find the proper resource to solve the problem.

In my opinion, this method takes considerably less time than following along with the CD video, or reading through the paper version.

P.S. I should add that if you apply for membership with your state's CPA society ($35 in WA), you can get a $25 discount on the $124 exam, as well as discounts on future CPE courses.

Please do not post questions from your ethics exams.  Also, it is against forum policy to seek or provide help/feedback/answers about your ethics exam at the forum.

When you take your ethics exam, you are agreeing to the fact that the answers you provide are solely yours.

It goes without saying such tactics are unethical and are not welcomed at this forum.  If you witness these types of posts, please report them immediately.  This also applies to individuals asking/providing e-mail addresses in any context of the ethics exam.

Your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
