I am not able to find a clear answer for this question in any of the accountancy website.

Is it illegal for a CPA to sign as one if they are not registered in the State they work. I am specifically asking about Florida State. I mean is a person is a CPA from NY state can they add the following to their signature while sending our emails or letters:

CPA designation regulated by the State of New york

or

CPA Licnesed in NY to their signature while sending or emails or letters.

Is that illegal?
