Do Accounts Payable experience under direct supervision of active CPA count as industry experience for those states allow industry experience for license?

Pfft! CA board is lame. I am currently arguing with them to get my license. They say I did not perform "general accounting functions", but that is not even the requirement. CA doesn't know what they are doing.

I hope not; let us all pray they have higher standards then that.

Financial reporting, IA, and G/L acctg are what the norm around here.

A/P doesn't do anything but data entry and does not look at the whole scope of the accounting function; it actually isn't even considered; it is a function of operation.

Being in that position would be a bummer for someone who passed the exam; I don't think a CPA would sign off unless they had you doing extra responsibilites outside the scope of A/P

hi kimberly,

what is the outcome?  i would like to know since i'm just one section away from passing the exam and i only have AR and billing experience. At least that is my title.  i do have a little bit of some other experience since my boss knows i am trying to get more involved in accounting.

hi moving home, are you in the same circumstance as kimberly.  if so, can you please tell me what happened?
