(That's my first post ever so please be gentle!)
Guys and gals,
I don't mean to brag but only to give you a few helpful pointers. I just passed the IL ethics exam on the first attempt. It took me about 2 hours without rushing myself. I did not study for it at all. Just printed the exam questions that are on booklet in the CD, looked up the answers to the few questions I was not sure about in the PDF materials that came along on the CD. Then I entered my responses in the online AICPA exam. The PDF exam version and the online one were verbatim repetition. The only different thing I noticed in the online version was that it had a 5th answer option – “e” – which I did not use for any of my responses.
I know this is not new groundbreaking approach to test taking but nevertheless worked nicely for me. In case, God forbid, you don't pass on the first try, the testing system will list the questions you have entered wrong.
Out of the 40 exam questions I had, I would say, only 10 were so-so challenging. The rest would be commonsensical for anyone who has studied for the 4 CPA exam sections and/or has taken business ethics classes. Or at least can search for terms in pdf documents :)
Good luck!
