I've succesfully completed all the requirements of the CPA license and began working on the paper work. This week I handed my boss the part the employer has to sign, the certificate of attest experience. I am planning on applying under pathway 1 for California. I have a little over 500 audit hours, but my boss felt that I couldn't complete an audit on my own and wanted to say no to the five questions in each auditing area (ie, planning, applying auditing procedures and techniques, preparing working papers, preparing written explanations on the working papers, and preparation of and reporting on full disclosure financial statements). The second question asks for each of these 5 categories, in your opinion, did such participation demonstrate satisfactory knowledge of current professional standards? My boss wanted to say no to all of these, but I reasoned with him why he should say yes so now I have to go fill out the worksheet in the instructions to prove my case.
My main question is, will I be denied a CPA license if they say NO to any of these questions, 1 through 5? I don't want to lose the $250 application fee and I thought people may have ran into this issue before.
I know I certainly am capable of doing anything even a audit from start to finish on my own, it just might take longer than the other people I work with since I've only worked in accounting a little over two years.
Thanks
