Is it true that the pass rate for the Q4 window is usually lower than the other quarters?
This is just a rumor, but I also heard that the grading standards are stricter in the 4th qtr. because this is the test window where most people come back from the summer and decide to take the exam. In addition, many people tend to want to get the exam over with b4 the Holidays/New Year, so many test candidates try to take at least one section in the 4th quarter. Because so many people take exams within the same time period, the AICPA tend to be stricter with their grading to ensure that not that many people pass.
Like I said, this is just hearsay. So, I don't know if this is true. What are your thoughts?
