Hi, i'm a confused how pathway 2 works. I passed all parts already and
i'm not sure which pathway to go. I dont have any acctg experience
under a cpa and its so hard to get a job from a cpa,so my question is:
How does the 150 credit hours work and do the 1 yr of general acctg
work experience still needs to be working under an active cpa? Or as
long as you have general acctg experience thats should be enough.

Hi CPAstdy.
It doesn't matter which pathway you choose, under both pathways the valid work experiance is considered the one which is supervised by a CPA. The difference between pathway 1 and 2 is just the number of years of work experiance - you need 2 years for pathway 1 and 1 year for pathway 2.

Does it have to be public accounting work under a CPA or can it be regular accounting work under a CPA for a private co? i am currently working as a Cost accountant in PA state but never did any audits / tax. Anyone know if my cost accounting experience counts towards getting CPA licensure?
