Most of the MBA threads are from people thinking about going in (me included, though becoming less likely) which I understand.

Just wanted some feedback from anyone who went to or is in process of finishing top 15 MBA or even top 25 and how their situation has changed career prospect wise if at all.

Thanks much.

I got my MBA from USC.  I went from working in accounting to working in banking.

Hi USCcpa,

When you mean banking, do you mean corporate banking (i.e. wealth management) or investment banking ? Also, did you find it hard to switch from accounting to banking post MBA ?

I got my MBA from Rutgers Business School (rank 39 - Wall Street Journal, rank 59 - U.S. News & World Report). I would say that it got my 2nd career on track (I was a computer engineer). I didn't know it was ranked 39 when I went (I just looked it up). But when I tell people that I went to Rutgers Business School, they seem impressed. But then again, I work for the Feds, not Goldman Sacks.

I don't think most people on this forum have finished community college.
