Hi, I am a Indian educated B com with tons of finance and Accounting experience and currently I live in Toronto, Canada. I have now decided to do my CPA from Colorado and for that have got my evaluation done from FACS. They have given me 95 hours for my B com degree from Bombay University and also the 27 credits required for the Colorado CPA. They normally forward the evaluation to the state board we decide to join. In my evaluation they have also mentioned that the Indian B com is not equivalent to the US Baccalaureate which is a necessity for all CPA courses. Now I want to know the following if anyone can help: 1. How will I know that the Colorado Accountancy Board has accepted my evaluation and I can be admitted? 2. What is the process of admission and studentship with any CPA board? 3. In case Colorado rejects I can send the evaluation done earlier to any other state for admission? 4. Which other states will admit a Indian Bcom degree holder? 5. After completion of the certification I have to work in US for getting my license OR if I continue to work in Canada how can I be a registered CPA? Thanks Yunus Baxamusa
