Hello People,

My NTS expires for REG on Oct.15th and I am not sure if I will be ready to take it then. So if I don't show up for the exam, DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT WINDOW ?????? to take this exam??

I belong to the CA board. I read different rules for different states. Please someone tell me that I can take this exam in Nov and not have to wait till Jan/feb window, because then I will lose my FARE Credit:(

Please respond. I am freaking out here!

hi,

If your NTS for reg is expiring and you have not taken an exam date, will mean that you have not failed the Reg exam. Which means you can repeat the same paper in that window since you have not appeared for the exam.  So my understanding is that you should be able to get a new NTS for Reg and take a date by Nov end and clear Reg.  Accordingly, you wont lose the credit for FAR.

This is solely my understanding.  I am from the CA board but I have not come across you scenario or read any reliable source.  In any case, you should give a call to the state board for your clarification.
