I applied to sit for the test in Louisiana about a year ago. I was accepted and paid for all 4 parts, but never sat for any of them. During the time I moved to North Carolina, and had some questions regarding the exam. Do I have to pay an application fee and get accepted to get licensed for North Carolina? If so, can I sign up without paying an application fee to become licensed in Louisiana? If I get licensed in Louisiana, how hard is it to become licensed in North Carolina? Also, in the future I plan on working overseas a considerable amount, is there a test that might better benefit my career to take to do accounting overseas. Thank you for your help.
You move to a new state, all new fees. You can never talk them out of it. Think about it, you went through all the hurdles for one state's requirement, so other states will say, we need to check your information as well.
