I took my undergrad courses in Pennsylvania where the requirement is only 120 credits for the CPA exam. I have been working at a CPA firm in Maryland for over a year now. The requirement is 150 credits in Maryland. So I was wondering if I could go back to PA and sit for the exam now and get my extra credits later or should I get the credits now and just sit for the test here in Maryland. I know eventually I want to get my masters in Tax. So I'm not sure what to do at this point....

You can take exam in any State that you are qualified... including Guam. Then you can later use those exam credits to another State that you want to get license.
If you qualify for PA now, then you can sit for CPA exam under PA jurisdiction. Then once you pass the exam and earned enough course credit you can apply with MD to get licensed by them.
