I always thought that you can take one exam at a time if preffered and all 4 parts has to be completed within 18 months. But I read in www.nysscpa.org that you need to pass 2 parts at a time and then you have 3 years to complete the rest. Does anyone know which one is accurate?

Thank you.

All I know for New York state is that you have 18 months to pass all four parts.  I'm never heard of having to pass to 2 parts in one window.  Thats not right because I passed REG in the 3rd window and FAR in the 4th window.

What you are talking about is the OLD way of testing where you would take 2 parts in one or two days and have to pass both to go on....  Now its completely different. You can take as many as you want in each testing window. 8 out of the 12 months
