Is there any deadline for my license application? Can I apply for the license 2 years later? Will my exam credit expire?

Yea I kind of want to know about this too. I passed the exam but the credit expiration date is still showing, does that mean it will expire. And how much time do I have til I apply for license.

Hi all,

I wonder if, let's say, I pass all 4 parts but don't get licensed right away
because I need the 1 year experience, is there a time limit before these
scores go bad? I hope not. Please advise. Thanks!

This depends on the state. In Florida, you have one year to apply for the CPA license once you pass all four parts. If you do not apply within that one year period, your scores will expire and you will have to take the test again. Also in Florida, you can apply for licensure without the one year experience but you won't be approved for licensure until you get the experience. The best thing to do is just go ahead and send in the application to stop the one year clock from ticking.

cflas08,  do you live in Florida? where did you get this information? I have heard numerous things regarding the new one year work experience rule.  So you are saying that you can apply for licensure without the one year experience?

An advisor in the accounting department at the university here told me that Florida is going to extend the amount of time in which your scores expire.   I've talked to a lot of people and nobody really knows whats going on yet.
