I live in Pennsylvania and am looking into the CPA exam. I'm curious about the education requirements. I know I need 150 of general credits and 24 credits of Accounting/Finance. I have over 150 credits, but I'm not sure if I have the right accounting/finance credits. How can I find out if I meet education requirements? Do I register for the exam and have them deny me or is there a different way? |

Hi. Go to Google and put in Pennsylvania Board of Accountancy and you should find what you're looking for there.
Usually, your accounting courses have to be 3000+ level in order to count towards your CPA requirements but this depends on the state. And, 24 hours worth of accounting credits generally mean that you have majored in Accounting.
