ok....with all due respect to all here who have full time jobs and huge commitments....i hv a small baby, 2 older kids who are demanding, but a husband who is quite supportive. I do not work in the mornings, but my baby needs my CONSTANT attention....trying to achieve a cpa at this time, is it doable/achievable???.....i dread giving up ALL social life with little kids....i guess i'm just thinking aloud, second guessing myself...with people here telling us that it takes 100-150 hrs per section to study, it's just such a huge commitment...am i setiing lyself up for failure...all expense would be out of pocket...out of savings... any advice?. If you feel this post is too whiney:) just ignore...otherwise offer some gems of wisdom..... Thanks for letting me vent...

I would say its possible... at least that's what I tell myself because I've
already come so far for being a teen mom, would seem silly to not be
able to achieve my dream now.

So now I'm studying for the CPA exam and took FAR today. I'm doing
Becker and I'll be honest, it is WORK. And sometimes I have to do the
single mom thing which is more stress.

Social life? I gave that up years ago.

ANYHOW, biggest thing I can suggest is... don't think about all you do. If
you do you'll waste time thinking about it, getting overwhelmed by it, and
you won't get anything done except adding worry and stress to yourself.

Just DO it (sounds like a Nike commercial I guess) but seriously, that is
the key.

As far as real logistics, my schedule is... get up at 6:30, throw in a few
hours of studying, but I don't really get my good studying in till the kids
are in bed since I do work full-time. So I get my best studying in after
8pm and till about midnight. Its a lot easier for me to
study when I don't have four kids running around my house being noisy

So all that said, if I can do it... anybody can. You just have to want it bad
enough and not let failure or the risk of failure stop you. You'll never
know unless you try.
