I would like to apply for the CPA exam but I want to take one part in August and the other in November. Therefore, I don't really know when to send in my application. So my problem is if I send in the application too early my NTS will expire before November, but if I send it too late I won't be able to take the first section in August. NASBA handles the application process and so I called them and they said processing for 1st time application is 4 to 6 weeks. Is that really the time frame?

Can anyone confirm that? Anybody recently applied to take the exam and can tell me how long it took from sending in application till receiving NTS?

Thanks a lot.
