Just wanted to say thanks to you folks for all the posts and information and support.  Thanks to CPANET for existing in the first place. . . . .

But I'm through.  Passed one exam and failed three attempts by 3 points or less.  I'm sick of the studying, the exams, the seemingly arbitrary scoring and the friggin' cost.  So CPA world, I give up, you win.

I'm out . . . . . .

That's dumb. You passed 1 and were really close on the
others. Quitting now would be a waste of money, not to
keep going.

this is the wrong attitude! DONT QUIT!

That is not being fair to yourself! Nail it down and focus, and you are going to pass, just a few more points, thats it!!

If this is something you really want ... stick with it. If you're not passionate about it, still think about the limitations you MAY have in your career for not having the CPA license. You would do yourself a disservice if you don't logically think this through. It's not uncommon to fail within a few points. LOTS OF PEOPLE have been in your shoes. Only 10% of test-takers pass all four parts on the first try. This indicates that at least 90% of people will fail at least one part before becoming a CPA. Don't be discouraged. You've already proven you can pass one section - and you've been super close on three other occasions. Perhaps rethink your study method, or do something to treat your test anxiety (if you have any). At the end of the day, the decision is of course yours. But just think it through ... don't impulsively give up if you really want the license. Good luck.
