I am graduating this December and will be starting as an auditor in
January. The firm is allowing me to work through busy season (ends
Mar~April) and then take leave until the fall new hires start mid-
September.
This gives me at least 4 months to study and pass as many parts of the
CPA exam as I can. Could I have some insight as to how I should plan my
exam scheduling?
I've not been the strongest academic performer, so I know I need to take
a proper amount of time to study. While I've always performed best under
pressure and with structure, I am not sure if doing the Becker Fast Pass is
a good idea for me. I like how class is scheduled everyday but I worry that
I won't be able to retain that much information in a short period of time.
I am leaning toward enrolling in the live course:

Sched.cfm?centerID=179&sID=1352
Since Regulation coursework is offered in April, I was planning on starting
with that. I would really like to fit time in for travel as well. After 4.5 years
of undergrad and 151 credits, it would be nice to relax a bit... but it
seems to really mess up the exam scheduling--
My idea is currently:
APR/MAY - REG
JUN - BUS
JUL/AUG - FAR
AUG/SEP - AUD
What if I took June to travel? Does that mean I would have to wait until
NOV/DEC to take Business? Sigh, seems like a bad idea since that will be
Busy Season.

I would recommend studying as early and hard as you can. It's going to take you a lot longer than you think it is to get through the material. It's good that you're being given the ability to work first and then have time off to study. This will give you the ability to submit all of your documents to the board and wait for approval (it can take 2 months or so for that). Then, I would try to pass as many tests as you can as early as you can.
You think that it's nice to relax? Just think how much fun it's going to be working 50-60 hours a week, and studying for the exam simultaneously when you're competition is studying for it 40-50 hours a week. Studying full-time will allow you to have a life when you're studying and when you're working.
Good luck!

Mar, June, Sept, Dec are no test months. I would suggest
that you take 2 exams per testing window. Take one in each
of April, May, July, August. I'm in a MAcc program and
have a winter internship with big 4 this jan-april and
trying to complete the exam before my start date in sept
too. I would hold off on traveling in june and try to
complete the exam by the end of august. Then you can
travel at the end of august and in sept before you start
knowing you have the exam passed.
