thinking of doing CPA - can you, "experienced members of this forum" help me understand where to start - 20 years exp in engineering and then technology - now want to get my CPA done.

Which state I can sit for the exam - do not have accounting courses but did take economics courses in my electrical engineering degree program.

Currently I am in NJ. Observed Vermont doesn't have any credit requirements. does it help to get my tests and then apply my license in Vermont - paralelly get the accounting credits. any other states have similar "No Credit" policy around NJ?

Anyone who can provide me a starting point advice that will yield some result towards my goal :)
