At least in my part of the world (Asia), Financial services is popular, possibly because it opens up opportunities to work for your client or in the financial industry later on, and this industry has the best pay.

Obviously, things may have changed after the financial crisis...

Would love to hear the thoughts from other members.

I'm not sure what/where your experience was, but I was given a list of 6 industries and told to rank them by preference. I was told that most get either their first or second choice.

I already made and submitted my selections. I was just interested to hear what others think about the different industries.
