Hello,

I'm new member to CPAnet. I had my Office interview last Wednesday at PWC Boston Location and haven't heard back from them. The HR told me that their decision will be made by the end of next week..Is this common?

It really depends on the situation. I got my offer from PwC a few hours after my in-office interview. I got my Deloitte offer 3 weeks after. If they told you their decision will be made by next week, they may still be interviewing or may be the decision makers are not around until then.

It depends.  If they haven't responded back to you by their stated date then worry.

Usually NO news is Good news.  At least you're not rejected.

I had the same thing happen to me.

If you are going through campus recruiting, then all the Big4 set a date after which they can give their offers. So you will go over their in-house interviews and after that they will make you wait like 1 or 2 weeks until they tell you if you got in or not. They do this so the last one to take you to their in-house has no disadvantage and the candidates put the same effort as they did for the other companies.

At least that is what they did at my school for internships. I don't know if they do the same for full-time because I got hired after my internship.

Good luck!
