Hi guys,

I would just like any advice or input. I recently received an offer from Big 4 in financial services doing audit. However, i have another offer from a National tier(RSM/BDO/GT) level which i got from doing internship there. I'm really not sure which one to take as though Big 4, obviously has a better name but i really liked the people at the national tier where I interned.

Also, at the National Tier firm, I established a great relationship with the seniors, mgrs, and director there so i know when i start working, i have the network to be put on the best client and prob get good rating. So the question is, is the unstable Big 4 opportunity worth it? vss the proven department at National tier? Also at the national tier, i get to work on Private Equity and hedge fund clients which at big 4, doubtful? Thanks, any advice would do!!!

hmm, I worked at a Big 4 before. I would say the exit opportunity isn't bad but it really depends on what Service line your in (Financial/Manufacturing) and what type of work and client your on. It sounds like your midtier BDO/GT opportunity is pretty good. I would go for the hedgefund/PE clients and when you come out of there, you can leverage that experience better. I would NOT go to Big 4, its really not that big of a deal. Personally, i dont' even think Big 4 is all that. Thats me.

Wandering CPA, I think you are leaning toward the company where you did your internship.  From conversations with my friends who are current Big 4 employees, you don't really know what type of clients you'll be dealing with.
