Is there a Big 4 firm that does better than the other three? Which one has the best perks? Which one treats its employees the best? On a 1 to 4 ranking system, how would you rank the Big 4 firms?? Which one is number one?

Depends on which site and magazine you trust by the ranking just like the different grades of rating by the top 5 rating agencies (moody's, fitch/S&P)

By AccountingToday magazine, they ranked big 4:

1) Deloitte

2) EY

3) PWC

4)KPMG (no surprise there)

BY VAULT.COM who ranks based on the most Prestigious

1) PWC

2)EY

3) Deloitte

4)KPMG (again, NO SURPRISE HERE)

lolz, so based on the last 5-10 years of different magazines, the spots always switches EXCept 1 company, KPMG.

Its like comparing ur Harvard, yale, stanford, and then ur 4th UCLA or something

A friend of mine works for KPMG in their state & local tax division and loves it. The benefits, culture, work assignments...doesn't have to work crazy long hours.

Another friend works at E&Y in their Tax Division and is plenty busy but...he has no life, no kids, not married...so for him work is # 1 priority.

I worked for Deloitte for a while and didn't like it. If you're a masochist u'll fit right in...just my 2 cents

I have very little skin in the game at this point, but:

Why is it so obvious that KPMG is always #4?

KPMG is the best OBVIOUSLY.
Seriously though, whichever firm hires you is clearly better than the
others.
